New Leaf Mental Health Counseling, PLLC is a growing Latinx-owned group practice that is committed to providing quality, enjoyable, and affordable mental health care for all. We are looking to bring on a motivated Psychotherapist who is looking to jumpstart their career and gain valuable experience while working in a supportive environment to meet with our clients in either a remote or in-person setting. The ideal candidate should have exceptional people, organizational, and time-management skills. If you have previous experience working in a clinical setting or client facing role we’d like to hear from you! Recent graduates are welcomed to apply!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychotherapy to assigned clients (either individuals or couples.)

  • Accurately diagnose clients with behavioral and mental illness in line with the DSM-V diagnostic criteria.

  • Maintain a code of ethics and confidentiality of all client information in keeping with HIPPA regulations.

  • Maintain licensure in good standing with NYS.

  • Participate in ongoing training/supervision.

  • Create and maintain accuracy of notes and treatment plans.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Must be either a NYS LMHC or limited-permit holder.

  • Proven understanding of DSM-V mental health diagnoses and treatment approaches for all ages.

  • 0-1 year(s) of post-master’s clinical experience.

  • Have experience working with racially and ethnically diverse populations.

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.

  • Evening and weekend availability

  • Psychotherapists can work from home or in office, the choice is yours!

  • No on-call responsibility.

  • Malpractice insurance.

  • No shows/cancelations within 12 hours will be compensated at half your rate.

  • Yearly training allowance of $500 after 6 months of employment.

  • Weekly supervision for limited permit holders.
