My name is Kimberly and counseling is more than just a job to me. It is both my profession and passion. As a bilingual mental health counselor fluent in English and Mandarin and former international student, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, understanding firsthand the challenges of navigating through various cultural contexts. My approach is rooted in cultural sensitivity, and I am committed to providing a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space where you can feel free to explore your concerns.
I use a strength-based and person-centered approach as the foundation of my work, believing that my clients have what it takes to make changes and thrive. In addition, I employ various evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, positive psychology and mindfulness-based interventions through trauma-informed lenses. I am dedicated to creating an environment that welcomes feedback and reflection on the therapeutic relationship to help ensure our sessions align with your unique needs and goals. Thus, I will regularly ask for feedback to help me make necessary adjustments and collaborate with you on determining the best way forward in our therapeutic journey together. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or life transitions, my goal is to empower you to make meaningful changes and build a stronger sense of self. I am here to help you navigate life’s challenges, grow, and heal—at your pace and on your terms.
When I am not at work, I enjoy exploring food spots from different cultures, taking my dog on new hiking trails, and spending quality time with my family.
