I believe in co-creating a safe therapeutic environment so clients can effectively address their mental health concerns and build upon their innate capacities to create change.
Before earning my Master’s Degree in Mental Health and Wellness from New York University, I completed a Master of Arts in Psychology and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University with a concentration in Spirituality, Mind, Body, and, previously, a Master of Education from Boston University. From my experience in the education field to now, as a psychotherapist, I bring a person-centered perspective which honors the unique experience of each individual.
My approach to therapy integrates a trauma-informed, social-justice lens with skills-based orientations like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Positive Psychology. My practice is ultimately rooted in the humanistic tradition of psychology which understands that self-directed action and autonomy are built through growing self-awareness and creating space for one’s own unique experience—from acute concerns like anxiety, depression, and trauma resolution to broader desires like addressing self-esteem and relationship issues.
I love living in and exploring New York City, testing out new recipes, hiking and camping, and visiting museums.
I firmly believe that a safe therapeutic relationship can enable change even when life’s challenges feel most intractable. I would be honored to be a support in this phase of your journey, and I look forward to hearing from you.
We provide compassionate support through individual, couples, and family therapy, helping you explore emotions, strengthen relationships, and build tools for lasting growth.
"The quality of staff at New Leaf is superb. I would describe their attitude as excellence. At a struggle point in my career and family life, the guidance I received at New Leaf was nothing short of a miracle. If anyone has mental health needs to be taken care of, they would be lucky to be served by New Leaf."
“I was nervous about starting therapy again after a difficult past experience, but New Leaf made the process simple and welcoming. From the first call, they helped me understand my insurance options and matched me with a therapist who truly listens. For the first time, I feel like I’m making real progress—learning to manage my anxiety and set boundaries. Their culturally responsive approach made me feel seen and valued.”
"If you’re looking for a network of therapists who are empathic, flexible and knowledgable, this is the place to go! 10/10!"
“Finding a therapist in NYC felt overwhelming until I found New Leaf. The team was caring and responsive, and I appreciated how flexible they were with scheduling. My partner and I started couples therapy here, and it’s completely changed the way we communicate. We’ve built trust again and feel more connected than ever. Having a diverse team that understands different perspectives made a huge difference in our experience.”
