I believe therapy is a collaborative journey grounded in connection, growth, and practical tools for lasting change. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), meaning we work together to build a strong therapeutic relationship while also developing evidence-based skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. My goal is to help you better understand patterns, strengthen coping strategies, and feel more confident managing life’s challenges so you can thrive both in and beyond our sessions.
I received my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Art Therapy from Caldwell University. I am currently a Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP) and Provisionally Registered Art Therapist (ATR-P). My clinical experience includes work in a hospital inpatient psychiatric unit, a nonprofit mental health shelter, and an older adult center. I primarily work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and everyday stressors. While talk therapy is central to my work, I also integrate creative techniques when helpful, as art can support emotional insight and expression when words alone feel difficult.
Outside of sessions, I enjoy creating art, taking photos, spending time with family and friends, and, of course, annoying my cat.
As Cleo Wade writes, “You are not only the artist but the masterpiece as well.” Whether through conversation, skill-building, or creative exploration, I am fully present and committed to helping you feel supported, understood, and gently challenged toward meaningful growth. I look forward to connecting with you.
We provide compassionate support through individual, couples, and family therapy, helping you explore emotions, strengthen relationships, and build tools for lasting growth.

“Finding a therapist in NYC felt overwhelming until I found New Leaf. The team was caring and responsive, and I appreciated how flexible they were with scheduling.
